Meet Jill

Jill Pienaar
Course Coordinator

What have you learnt while working at Paddocks?
I have only been here for seven months, and in this short time I have learnt a tremendous amount. I have learnt that the two most important aspects of a successful working environment are communication and attention to detail. These two aspects are used to their full extent on a daily basis.

What do you enjoy about working at Paddocks?
I enjoy the fast-paced environment. It constantly keeps you on your toes.

What do you do when you are not working at Paddocks?
My husband and I battle it out on PS3. Other than that I enjoy fishing, running and enjoy time-out with family and friends.

March 2010 (Volume 5, Issue 3)

Dear Paddocks Press Fan

It seems that 2010 is to be filled with both challenges and opportunities! But then, those two do seem to be closely related.

The next UCT (Law@Work) Sectional Title Scheme Management Course will be the 10th presentation, and we are working through the first presentation of the Home Owners' Association Management Course. I think that this has been an eye-opener for many of our students - particularly when they find that principles applicable to their sectional title management experience do not apply in the company law or common law contexts.

For those interested in the UCT Sectional Title Development Course, please note that the date has been changed to early June in Johannesburg.

Kind regards,

Graham

Jennifer Paddock

Maintenance

By Rob Paddock

There are many design features of new and increasingly popular “green” developments that help to drastically decrease water consumption and increase electrical efficiency. Unfortunately, most of us do not live in these new developments and need to take steps to retrospectively fit our units with water and electricity saving devices. In this article we will look at a few easy ways to save water in and around your sectional title unit. (reading time: ±2 mins)
