amendments

Recent proposed legislative amendments to the KwaZulu-Natal Planning and Development Act are set to impact on how sectional title developers, owners and bodies corporate undertake certain actions.
The KwaZulu-Natal Planning and Development Act No. 6 of 2008 came in to force on 1 May 2010. This Act is commonly referred to as simply the “PDA”. Recent amendments have been published for comment that have a direct impact on sectional title. (reading time: ±2 min)

Owner meetings
The right to vote is one of the normal consequences of membership of an association. An owner of a unit in a sectional title scheme is automatically a member of the body corporate and will usually have the right to vote at all of its general meetings either personally, by proxy or through another legally recognised representative.

Maintenance

The problem with a "normal light bulb" is that the heat it generates wastes a lot of electricity. Heat is not light, and the purpose of the light bulb is to produce light, so all of the energy spent creating heat is wasted. As a result, incandescent bulbs are very inefficient.
