January 2010 (Volume 5, Issue 1)

Dear Paddocks Press Fan

2010 is set to be a memorable year for all of us. All around we see the evidence of major capital expenditure on our country's infrastructure. We look forward to enjoying the use of these facilities for many years after the final whistle is blown in the World Cup soccer final.

Now, if we can get some of that energy transferred to revitalising Eskom's human and technical infrastructure... who knows what we can achieve!

Late last year we changed the format of Paddocks Press to make it more accessible. This year sees a change to the monthly publication deadline: look for the new edition on the last Wednesday of each month

This year will also see new aspects introduced into the UCT Sectional Title Scheme Development course and a repeat of the very successful Law of Sectional Title Meetings course.

Kind regards,

Graham

My, my...how we have grown!

Insurance and the home owner’s association

Insurance

Within the home owner’s association environment, it is somewhat different. In this article Mike looks at the issue of insurance within a home owners’ association environment. (reading time: ± 3 mins)

Sealants and goalies – One and the same #2

Robert Paddock

Maintenance

By Rob Paddock

Why should goalies stay fit? Why should inspections and maintenance be performed on sealants?

Inspections and maintenance are to sealants, what training and regular practice are to goalies: vital for optimum performance.
