Meet Professor Paddock

Prof. Paddock

Graham is an Adjunct Professor at the University of Cape Town's Faculty of Engineering and the Built Environment (Department of Construction Economics and Management).

He is an authority on sectional title law and practice and the lead consultant first to the National Department of Land Affairs and now to the National Department of Human Settlements (formerly Housing) in drafting and implementing the Sectional Titles Scheme Management and Community Scheme Ombud Service legislation.

Graham has lectured on sectional titles to undergraduate, postgraduate, professional and lay audiences and has written the courseware for all the following courses:

Clint Riddin

Meet Clint Riddin

Clint Riddin of Clint Riddin and Associates is a sectional title accountant specialised in accounting, income tax and secretarial services to bodies corporate.

Clint was schooled in Grahamstown and then attended the University of Port Elizabeth and studied B.Com Honours. He was articled at Wessel Greeff & Strydom, where he was fortunate enough to spend much of his time on forensic audits and worked with the Office for Serious Economic Offences (now the Scorpions). Clint Riddin joined Trafalgar Property Management in 1995 as branch accountant and was made a director in 1996. In 1998, he qualified as an Arbitrator in Sectional Title disputes and in 2001 Clint transferred to Cape Town. In 2003, Clint left Trafalgar to go into private practice. Clint Riddin and Associates specialises in accounting for bodies corporate and home owners’ associations and has offices in Cape Town, Port Elizabeth, Pretoria and Johannesburg.

Meet Biff Lewis

Biff Lewis Biff Lewis of Biff Lewis Geomatics Inc. is an authority in the field of sectional title surveying with over 30 years of experience in the field.

Biff, qualified as a Professional Land Surveyor in Johannesburg in 1977 at the University of Witwatersrand after writing his degree thesis “The Sectional Titles Act No.66 of 1971 – its Advantages and Limitations”. He went on to receive a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Cape Town in 1981, and in 1989 completed a property development program at the UCT Graduate School of Business.

Gaining most of his early experience in Gauteng, Biff was a partner in a Johannesburg-based firm, before moving to Cape Town in 1990 where he joined another survey partnership. In 1994, Biff established his own practice. Since moving to Cape Town, Biff served as the president of the institute of Professional Land Surveyors: Western Cape for two years, and as the chairperson of the Association of Architects, Planners, Engineers and Surveyors for two years. He has lectured for several years as a guest lecturer at the UCT Geomatics Department.
